Christmas Play Friends

The kids did an AMAZING job at the Christmas Play this week!! I am one extremely proud teacher!! I cannot wait to put more of the pictures of the performance up soon!!

Buddy the Elf

I am pleased to introduce Buddy the Elf!! He is cousin to the Elf on the Shelf but he is the Elf for school classrooms but still just as mischievous! This morning when I left to take the kiddo's to school I came back to a mess all over the project table!! Somehow he managed to get the homemade sensory snow all over the table, I guess when he was making his snow angel! I cannot wait to see what he does on Monday when we take the kids to school!

Then Buddy didn't think he had caused enough trouble so he left a note for the kids!

Donations these Holidays

This Thanksgiving TASK got to participate in two donation drives! AOHC did a canned food drive and Task was able to collect from the classes, so that all of the cans were together and ready to send off to help the families of the community. TASK has also set up there own donation drive by collecting coats for kids. The TASK kids have learned that they are very fortunate to have all the luxuries that other children do not, and the kids also got to get on the computer to make their posters and flyers. In our coats for kids drive the kids collected 17 coats from youth sizes to adult sizes!

We are so proud of these kids for how much they are growing and learning! It is amazing to watch these kids discover something new!

Back to School Time in TASK

TASK is in full back to school mode and we are so excited to start the new year! It is amazing to see how much these kids have grown and matured this past summer! But we would first like to give a warm welcome to the new friends that have moved up from Pre- K 3 or just came in to enjoy the program with us! I am so excited about this year, it is going to be great!!

Field Trip To GOOFBALLS!

June 5, 2013 was our first field trip! We had a blast with the bumper cars, laser frenzy, and obstacle course the kids really enjoyed their time!

SUMMER HAS STARTED!!!! Here in TASK we have been having a blast! We have played with play dough, come up with all kinds of science projects, and used our imagination's to create a way to get off this island we crash landed on!

This week our theme is Island Invasion!! We are going to make sponge balls to use in our water play this week and we will enjoy an "island in a cup" for snack one day!

Our first week of TASK was a blast and this week will be ten times better! WE HAVE FIELD TRIPS THIS WEEK!!

Our Guinea Pig

The kids love our new guinea pig she is so sweet! The kids get to pet her and put her in the floor to play with her!

Spring Plants

Task and Pre-k 3 together planted flowers. Task taught the Pre-k 3 class how to plant seeds and then taught them how to care for the seeds till they grow to be beautiful flowers. Now we are waiting to see the flowers we planted but until then we are recording the progress of our plants.

Spring

Spring has begun and we are ready for it in TASK!!!

Happy Presidents Day!

Happy Presidents Day! Today we are doing a whole lot of stuff; we have made TP Presidents, we have been scientist and used balloons, straws, and yarn to show how the force of the balloon pushes the straw down the yarn. The kids loved watching the balloon, they got to compete in how far it would go.

Sweetheart Guessing Game Winner!

We are happy to announce that Olivia Postanowicz is the winner of our Valentine's Day Buzz Activity! Her guess was the closest in guessing how many sweetheart candies were in the jar!
